Black Type Brewing

Black-Type Brewing is a Lexington brewpub that brings together craft beer, wood-fired food and good company. Its brewers make beer for a range of tastes, from crisp German-inspired lagers and expressive IPAs to lively sours and dark, deep styles, and they encourage guests to try something unexpected. The tap list has included Sloppy Track Kölsch, a blueberry pancake beer, a triple IPA, a honey blonde ale, Point to Porter and an Oktoberfest Märzen. Beer is available by the glass or to take home in cans, growlers and kegs. The kitchen centers on wood-fired pizza, with dough that is hand-tossed and rolled fresh and sauces prepared each day, and pies such as a Mediterranean supreme, a margherita and a green goddess; gluten-free crust and modifications are available.
