Maiden City Brewing Company

Maiden City Brewing Company calls itself Cynthiana’s original microbrewery, and its motto is “Small Town Charm. Big City Flavor.” The name nods to the town’s nickname: Cynthiana was named for Cynthia and Anna, the daughters of settler Benjamin Harris, earning it the title of the maiden city of Harrison County. The brewery was founded in December 2016 by three men who believed that hard work, strong recipes and enthusiastic community support were the keys to a successful brewery, and who took pride in their roots and their state. They set out to create a place where guests can come to commiserate or celebrate and feel as if they have walked into their own home, served with southern hospitality. Maiden City has a kitchen in Cynthiana and a second taproom in Paris, next to partner restaurant Burnaco’s. It also serves cocktails and offers an event room and a beer trailer.
