Burl Brew

Burl Brew is the in-house brewery of The Burl, a Lexington music venue and arcade, and it launched in 2024. The Burl’s founders had spent years in the local music scene, often driving to Nashville or Cincinnati to see artists who skipped Kentucky, and they built a rooted, unpretentious place for live music and community. Listening to their crowds, they heard a wish for more reasons to stay, so brewing became the next chapter. The name comes from a burl, the knotty growth a tree forms after stress that reveals striking grain inside. Every beer is brewed on site with a hands-on process and carefully chosen ingredients. The tap list rotates constantly through seasonal releases, changing styles and new ideas, always with something familiar and something new, and the brewers aim for balanced, approachable beers. The stage and arcade machines remain, and the venue also offers food, events and rentals.
