Blue Stallion Brewing Company

Blue Stallion Brewing Company is a Lexington brewpub with the motto “Boldly Traditional.” The idea took shape in the winter of 2012, when founders Kore Donnelly, Xavier Donnelly, Zac Donnelly, Nico Schulz and Jim Clemons saw that Lexington was ready for more local craft beer and wanted to bring their passion and know-how to the city’s beer scene. From the start, the goal was to pair tradition with innovation. The brewery specializes in true-to-style German ales and lagers, brewed with an eye toward authenticity, while also offering approachable options such as light lagers alongside trendier IPAs and a variety of sours. That mix of steadfast German brewing and newer styles is what the founders believe sets Blue Stallion apart in Lexington. The brewpub has its own kitchen serving food, and it also hosts events in its taproom throughout the year.
