Hopkinsville Brewing Company

Hopkinsville Brewing Company is the first craft brewery in both the city of Hopkinsville and Christian County, and its slogan plays on the city’s nickname, Hoptown. It is a 5-barrel nanobrewery in the heart of downtown, at the corner of 5th and Main, where its beers are brewed and served on site; each batch takes about three weeks from start to finish. A brewer is on hand for tours whenever the taproom is open. Both brewers are Army veterans. Kate Russell, a Cornell psychology graduate with a brewing science certificate from Auburn University, likes designing fruit, herb, spice and sour beers, while Joey Medeiros, a computer science graduate of Austin Peay State University with a brewing science certificate from South College, favors the seasonal stouts. The taproom has free Wi-Fi, a community room, a patio, pizza and event space.
