White Squirrel Brewery

White Squirrel Brewery calls itself Bowling Green’s living room. After the original White Squirrel closed, co-owners Sean and Brian, who bring different strengths to the business, teamed up in 2021 with the shared aim of bringing it back. With friends helping, they spent 2022 planning a new chapter, and in March 2023 the brewery bought Gasper Brewing Company and moved into its State Street warehouse. The crew restored the space and revived the original recipes, holding a soft opening that April and an official keg tapping and grand opening that September. The owners want it to feel like home, with good beer, good company and entertainment. Something is usually going on, from live music, piano players and songwriters to trivia and the occasional wrestling ring set up in the middle of the brewery. It also hosts birthdays, reunions, weddings and other celebrations.
